Spadez: Interview

\\

The first words that comes to your mind when you hear Inspiration, Passion, and Strength

Keep going. Done it before , I can do it again.

Who are you? (Answer how you interpret this question)

I'm a human that tries to better himself everyday not just in math or photography, but in life, habits, life choices, skills, I like the best in life.

Why do you do what you do?

I see everything. I talk the least. But I see everything and it's just recently I'm getting used to showing people what I see. And my preferred way of showing my emotions or thoughts are through art, photo or film.

When did you know this is what you wanted to do, and what events led you to choose it?

I feel like this is just the beginning, this might just be the step I take in the right direction. I literally haven't done any serious workshops or lessons on photography or video. A lot of it just me playing with my camera and throwing it in Photoshop and editing using the same knowledge I had since I was a kid. I started photography by simply trying out a DSLR from Best Buy (Taking advantage of the return policy) , later returning it to buy a used T2i.

Toughest thing you had to overcome to do what you do? And what/who helped you?

Toughest thing I had to overcome is taking control of my life. The moment I decided I was going to take photography. Everything changed. I'm a lot more decisive on what I want and need, and I've always had the drive of getting what I want. My girlfriend, Erin, supported me since day 1.

Has anyone/anything ever inspired you to become who you are (to follow your dreams)? Have you ever inspired anyone directly?

My inspiration comes from my own city. And I can say most of it comes from one man and his team, The Weeknd. The Weeknd, or Abel Tesfaye, grew up in nearly identical shoes as me. Not growing up with a dad, living with my mom I still have a distant relationship with her. I feel like I brought up myself with the little help of everyone in my life. I take lessons from my own mistakes, my peers, my experiences, everything. I was the weird kid in high school,  nothing changed. I'm still weird. It's why The Weeknd inspires me so much, he's been in my shoes, there's no excuse for me not to be as great. Putting your heart and giving it all is the key. Passion and hard work go hand-in-hand.

One mistake that you made in your journey? How have you learnt from them?

The day I started, I told my girl I'm going to make a music video for "Enemy" by The Weeknd and I will. This next year I'm going to really focus on refining my skills and learning new ones.

Upcoming projects? Plans/goal? (about anything, if you have any)

Happiness comes before success, do what it takes to get the happiness in your life. Love every moment of your life and show love to everyone around you. Life is a marathon, enjoy the run instead of running just because you have to.

Say anything you want, about anything (Last words)

Thanks for reaching out to me and doing the interview
