The first words that comes to your mind when you hear Inspiration, Passion, and Strength

Achievement

Who are you? (Answer how you interpret this question)

I'm a fun loving dog lover with an obsession of all things fashion.

Why do you do what you do?

I do what I do because I absolutely adore putting outfits together, it's my form of art.

When did you know this is what you wanted to do, and what events led you to choose it?

I was a teacher for eight years and I realized that it wasn't for me.  I had always loved fashion and my husband suggested that I start writing a blog.  I started it in my second last year of teaching and I knew it was my true calling.

Toughest thing you had to overcome to do what you do? And what/who helped you?

The toughest thing was leaving my stable job.  I had a lot of doubters and a lot of people who thought I was insane.  It was really hard to block all the naysayers out of my mind.  Thanks to my husband's support, he made me see I had no other choice but to follow my dreams.

Has anyone/anything ever inspired you to become who you are (to follow your dreams)? Have you ever inspired anyone directly?

I was so worried to leave teaching because I didn't want to disappoint anyone, but most of all I didn't want to disappoint my dad, who had taught at the same school for 30 plus years.  When I told him he pushed me to do what I wanted and told me all he wanted was for me to be happy.  That was all I needed to hear.  I think I've inspired many people to not give up on their dreams.  It's never too late to do what you truly love.  It takes a lot of hard work and even though I don't make what I used to, I'm a much wealthier person because I'm actually happy.

One mistake that you made in your journey? How have you learnt from them?

My one mistake would be not following my dreams in the first place.  I often think that if I'd just followed my passion in the first place that I'd be so much further.  That being said, being a teacher made me who I am today so I can't look back but I can definitely look forward and enjoy all the great things to come.

Upcoming projects? Plans/goal? (about anything, if you have any)

There are lots of exciting things coming to Boho & Braids this year and I cannot wait!  My goals are to work harder every year and continue to take Boho & Braids to the next level.  I want it to become a household name.  I want to work on campaigns with companies and I absolutely want to go to New York fashion week.

What advice would you give to other people? (Just about life in general - It could be about anything)

Life is way too short to sweat the small stuff.  I lost my dad a year and a half ago and that has made me realize that you never know how long you actually have.  He waited his whole life to retire and travel and then he got sick.  That's why you have to spend every day like it's your last and enjoy every second you have.

Say anything you want, about anything (Last words)

Don't ever let anyone tell you that you can't do something.  If you are willing to work hard enough you can do just about anything.
