Moxiie: Interview

The first words that comes to your mind when you hear Inspiration, Passion, and Strength

Divine, innate

Who are you? (Answer how you interpret this question)

I’m an artist, a woman, a human seeking my highest potential.

Why do you do what you do?

Need. That’s the word that always comes to mind when I’m asked this. It’s such a part of me, I have a hard time understanding even answering the question “why?” I do it because I have to. I need to.

When did you know this is what you wanted to do, and what events led you to choose it?

I’ve known since I was 9, maybe before that, but I don’t really remember anything before the age of 9. I don’t remember choosing it, I just remember always wanting it and feeling like it was the one thing meant for me.

Toughest thing you had to overcome to do what you do? And what/who helped you?

Toughest thing I had to overcome was myself, the self doubt, and negative, low vibes. I helped myself, but my uncle was my compass.

Has anyone/anything ever inspired you to become who you are (to follow your dreams)? Have you ever inspired anyone directly?

Madonna is a huge inspiration to me. As a woman and as an artist. I’ve been told that I inspire some people and I’m not sure there is a better feeling than that.

One mistake that you made in your journey? How have you learnt from them?

I don’t think I made mistakes really. I think I’ve done what I knew to do and whatever I needed to learn, I learned and can put into practice now. Biggest mistake I guess was the time I wasted being afraid to make mistake.

Upcoming projects? Plans/goal? (about anything, if you have any)

The new video for my latest single “Jilted” (iTunes) is coming together. So that’s the next thing. I’m excited about that! It’ll be out end of this month/top of December :)

What advice would you give to other people? (Just about life in general - It could be about anything)

Don’t wait to be discovered, discover yourself. Don’t take things personally, don’t hold grudges but don’t be afraid to burn a useless bridge.
