What do you do?

I combine my passion for fashion and travel with my creative skill sets to create content. When I’m not blogging on Fashion. Food. Flair. you can find me creating beauty tutorials for the Huffington Post, freelance writing for travel magazines or working my day job as a digital strategist and manager.

How long have you been doing it?

Just over two years.

Fav Musician/Vocal artist/Rapper/Singer

I’m definitely a Selenator these days

Fav Movie

Hmm… this is a hard one. I don’t have a favourite movie but I am obsessed with Law and Order SVU. Does that count?

Fav Actor/Actress

I’m not a big movie person.

Fav Clothing brand

I can’t choose one! I base my clothing choices around design and material rather than brand. Anything that ASOS, Lulu’s, Topshop or Revolve carries is usually a good bet.

None to be honest with you.

Fav Sport to play

I don’t like sports :)

The first words that comes to your mind when you hear Inspiration, Passion, and Strength

Entrepreneurs

Who are you? (Answer how you interpret this question)

I’m a 20 something wanderer in love with fashion.

Why do you do what you do?

It’s one of the most creatively empowering, freeing things to me. I’m a creator so when I’m not working on multiple projects, doing some form of art (writing, video production, video shooting, editing photos, taking photos) I don’t feel whole.

When did you know this is what you wanted to do, and what events led you to choose it?

Always. I just didn’t have the courage to pursue it until after I made myself leave everything behind and move to England for seven months.

Toughest thing you had to overcome to do what you do? And what/who helped you?

When I moved to England, I left my friends, family, relationship, home, most of my closet and my dog. It was scary, especially since at that point I was terrified of flying overseas. But all the people I left behind helped me feel confident that I made the right choice. Though they were sad to see me leave, they knew it would be a life changing event and they gave me courage and strength through every step.

Has anyone/anything ever inspired you to become who you are (to follow your dreams)? Have you ever inspired anyone directly?

I’m an Ontario Certified Teacher and began my career in teaching overseas, moving to England to teach underprivileged youth right after graduating. That experience and those students inspired me to do what I’m doing now. I would encourage the students to break through stereotypes and believe in themselves. To focus on what their heart tells them. Before I moved back home I decided to take my own advice, and so Fashion. Food. Flair. was born!

One mistake that you made in your journey? How have you learnt from them?

My biggest mistake was not pursuing my passion earlier. But after living in another country for almost a year, I showed myself that I could do anything and face any challenge that came my way. Now I pursue any idea or business venture I may have, and if it doesn’t turn out, then at least I tried!

Upcoming projects? Plans/goal? (about anything, if you have any)

I’ve been slowly transitioning the blog to focus only on fashionable travel, almost dropping the food aspect entirely. It’s still going through a bit of a transition but I will be announcing the full change soon. I’ve also teamed up with Addicted’s co-founder Nadia E to create a network of people in our industry. We want to connect freelancers, bloggers and entrepreneurs in the city by hosting workshops and bi-monthly meetups. Follow me on social media to stay updated for our first event.

What advice would you give to other people? (Just about life in general - It could be about anything)

Be passionate and follow your dreams. If you can do that, you can do anything.

Say anything you want, about anything (Last words)

I’m so flattered that you wanted to feature me!! :)
