Gina Monique: Interview

The first words that comes to your mind when you hear Inspiration, Passion, and Strength

Who are you? (Answer how you interpret this question)

Exactly who I want to be...A spiritual being encountering a human experience

Why do you do what you do?

For the love and escape of it all

When did you know this is what you wanted to do, and what events led you to choose it?

I started acting at a very early age. My first casting call was in Dallas Texas where I auditioned in front of over 150 people (I was 8yrs). The audition was one of those open cattle casting calls and of all the kids there I won first place which was a chance to meet Mario Lopez and was asked to be on an episode of saved by the bell.

Toughest thing you had to overcome to do what you do? And what/who helped you?

Doubt and negativity. The lack of faith is almost innate when you're aware that your goals aren't as "realistic" as everyone else's around you. It can leave u feeling unworthy and the only thing that helped me out of that state of mind is heavy prayer and God, and a few encouraging people.

Has anyone/anything ever inspired you to become who you are (to follow your dreams)? Have you ever inspired anyone directly?

Yes, my best friend ! She's always so supportive and an motivating. Her drive has rubbed off on me and the ambitious that she vibrates is contagious. My mother for her strength,!she's been through the unimaginable and has still managed to be a good person with a kind heart. People tell me all the time how I inspire them to be real, to be free, and to be themselves and that is always something that I cherish.

One mistake that you made in your journey? How have you learnt from them?

Putting time caps on goals and things that I want to Accomplish has been a tragic mistake ! The trick to timing is that everything happens at a time the universe needs it to. There is only Gods timing and frankly the timing of man is merely an illusion. just play your part and things will come

Upcoming projects? Plans/goal?

If you have any)

I am acting in this local film project called Eye of A Hustler written by Ronnie G Perdue which I'm super excited about!

What advice would you give to other people? (Just about life in general - It could be about anything)

My advice would be to trust yourself, believe in yourself even when it seems that no one else does! Know your purpose and never loose sight of it.

Say anything you want, about anything (Last words)

Life is a roller coaster. hold on tight, scream as loud as u can, closed your eyes and enjoy the ride.
