The first words that comes to your mind when you hear Inspiration, Passion, and Strength

Believe in yourself, never be afraid to dream, understand your true potential and back up your vision with action.

Who are you? (Answer how you interpret this question)

I’m Young and Ambitious on my way to riches.

Why do you do what you do?

I love it, I’m passionate about rap and the hip hop culture and everything that comes with; that includes the production part, the recording part, the visual, creative and artistic part of it… I’m proud to be part of this movement and to be able to contribute to it in my own way.

When did you know this is what you wanted to do, and what events led you to choose it?

Since very young, I used to listen to a lot of rap music and I was really into it. But like 4 years ago I met a couple of people from different countries who shared the same passion for music as me. I was inspired to be surrounded by talented people with great energy, so that really did motivate me to apply myself and start writing down lyrics to make something out of what I already had. It led me to my first studio experience in 2011 which was the ice on the cake.

Toughest thing you had to overcome to do what you do? And what/who helped you?

It took me some time to understand that when you have a great purpose in life, people will always feel some type of way about your situation, and try to discourage you and bring you down. I put myself above all this non-sense and just don’t pay attention to the negative vibes because at the end of the day I keep my eyes on the prize.

Has anyone/anything ever inspired you to become who you are (to follow your dreams)? Have you ever inspired anyone directly?

A lot of these young famous rappers and producers like Meek Mill, Drake, Metro Boomin, Kanye, London On the Track, Lil Snupe (RIP), Wiz Khalifa, Lil Wayne… and artists like Davido or Wizkid… in Nigeria who really started from nothing and proved to me that I could do whatever I put my mind into. I hope to inspire some people to go after what they can’t live a day without thinking about.

One mistake that you made in your journey? How have you learnt from them?

In the past I was too much relying on other people to help me put my music out there, but I was very disappointed by the lack of support. I then realized I had to step up and do my own things, learn from people who already made it and create my own path. I also wish I had started making videos earlier, but starting this SUMMER, it’s going to be non-stop.

Upcoming projects? Plans/goal? (about anything, if you have any)

I’m currently working on my sophomore mixtape which I expect to drop this Summer. I put a lot of time into working on this project and I’m very confident about the outcome so far. I plan on shooting videos to get my music out there and really get people to put a face to it. I’m creating my own label called #YoungAndAmbitiousReKordZ. I’m also working on designs for a clothing line, that’s all I can say at this point.

What advice would you give to other people? (Just about life in general - It could be about anything)

Change your mind, change the way you think and focus on what’s most important for you. Don’t compare yourself to others because we are not the same, we have different objectives, different visions. What works for them might not work for you or vice versa. Don’t be afraid to stand out from the crowd, be willing and dare to take risks as nothing comes easy. Be Yourself, GO HARD NO MATTER WHAT!

Say anything you want, about anything (Last words)

THE ONLY WAY IS UP.
