The first words that comes to your mind when you hear Inspiration, Passion, and Strength

First words that come to mind are hard working relatives and friends who will do anything to provide for their families

Who are you? (Answer how you interpret this question)

a player in the game we call society . a participant. someone who makes the most of the time given on earth

Why do you do what you do?

I am a carpenter because I enjoy working with my hands and receiving gratification and reward from a finished product. I play music because its a form of therapy for me. It allows me to release built up frustrations, and allows me to experience other necessary human emotions like love or sadness.

When did you know this is what you wanted to do, and what events led you to choose it?

I had been playing music from a young age after my brothers started. I took piano lessons and learned guitar myself. I continued music for the same reasons i play it today.

Toughest thing you had to overcome to do what you do? And what/who helped you?

I was living in Waterloo, ontario finishing an undergraduate degree but knew that there wasn't very much opportunity for me to do what i wanted to do with music. Ottawa and Montreal's music scenes are perfect for aspiring musicians. Ottawa in particular because one doesn't get lost in the pool of musicians that encapsulates the Toronto music scene. Anyways, i decided to move to Ottawa to become active in the scene here. so far it seems i've been meeting the right people to help me along this path.

Has anyone/anything ever inspired you to become who you are (to follow your dreams)? Have you ever inspired anyone directly?

Just yesterday i was talking with my Mother, she told me a story of my younger cousin, James. Hes been watching recent uploads from Cold Capital. She told me that he said that he was asking how he could become a ‘Rockstar’ like his cousins. I dont know , it was a sort of motivational push and for sure inspiring to me.

One mistake that you made in your journey? How have you learnt from them?

Mistakes at an early stage of a musician's career to me are getting caught up in the notion that the idea of music in regard to competing with other bands shouldn't be a competition at all. Music is something that should be shared and enjoyed with others. In any given music scene its important to work together as a whole.

Upcoming projects? Plans/goal? (about anything, if you have any)

Well as i write this its march 3rd, i'm just coming out of the studio working on a couple projects that im pretty proud of thus far. Cold Capital was back into the studio after the release of our first EP to finish half of the full length LP set to be released in late spring. Were hoping to play some fun festivals this summer and go into a tour this fall.

What advice would you give to other people? (Just about life in general - It could be about anything)

Id say to be open with people and choices you make in life within reason of course. If you go around closing proverbial doors its hard to open what could be beneficial opportunities

Say anything you want, about anything (Last words)

Listen to the music you want to, not because others think its good but because it means something to you
